PLAYOFF SHOWDOWN: INDIANA FEVER VS. ATLANTA DREAM COULD BE ON! HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THE PLAYOFF GAME IS LIKE THIS.

The stage is almost set for a thrilling first-round matchup as the Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream emerge as potential playoff opponents in the 2026 WNBA postseason.

Atlanta has officially locked up the No. 4 seed after defeating the New York Liberty, earning home-court advantage in the first round.

Indiana, meanwhile, enters the final day of the regular season with its playoff position still being finalized. The Fever’s final result will determine exactly where they land in the bracket.

If the Fever finish fifth, the matchup would be No. 4 Atlanta Dream vs. No. 5 Indiana Fever, with Game 1 taking place in Atlanta.

The potential series would bring together two teams that have already produced intense battles this season. Indiana defeated Atlanta 95–91 in overtime on August 16, while Atlanta previously defeated Indiana 108–101 in June.

That history makes a playoff meeting especially intriguing, with both teams familiar with each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

For Indiana, the focus will be on finishing the regular season strongly and entering the postseason with momentum. For Atlanta, securing the fourth seed gives the Dream home-court advantage for the opening round.

The 2026 WNBA playoffs begin Sunday, September 27, with the first round played as a best-of-three series.
