Two Fans Apprehended After Green Sex Toy Flies Onto Court During Dream-Sparks Game; Angel Reese Points Out Culprit …

A green sex toy was hurled onto the court during the Atlanta Dream’s dominant 124-88 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena, briefly interrupting play and prompting Atlanta star Angel Reese to immediately identify the alleged thrower from the bench.

The incident occurred with 2:59 remaining in the third quarter. Sparks forward Jihyun Park was at the free-throw line when the neon-green object landed in front of her and bounced across the paint toward the Los Angeles bench. Officials halted play as Sparks center Cameron Brink kicked the item away and a security guard removed it with a towel.

Reese, seated on the Dream bench, shot up and repeatedly pointed toward the stands while calling for security, according to broadcast footage and multiple reports. Lip readers and social media clips captured her saying variations of “Right there! Get him!” and later joking with teammates that “that b–h was like seven inches.” The spectator, described in some videos as wearing a Luka Dončić Lakers jersey, was seen attempting to flee and bumping into a security officer before being apprehended by arena staff.

The disruption revived memories of a 2025 wave of similar green sex-toy throws that plagued several WNBA games, including ones involving the Dream and Sparks. Those earlier incidents led to ejections, multi-year bans, and some arrests on charges such as disorderly conduct and public indecency. League policy continues to treat intentional object-throwing as grounds for immediate ejection, a minimum one-year ban, and potential criminal prosecution.

Despite the stoppage, the Dream rolled to a franchise-record scoring total. Reese finished with 20 points on perfect 9-of-9 shooting, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. The game otherwise proceeded without further incident once the object was cleared.

As of Friday, authorities had not released names or formal charges related to the Thursday throw. Past cases show that arrests can follow quickly once the individual is identified. WNBA officials and arena security have reiterated zero-tolerance rules aimed at protecting players and maintaining the integrity of the competition.

The episode underscores ongoing challenges for the league in managing disruptive fan behavior while the on-court product continues to draw attention. Reese’s quick reaction and the rapid security response helped limit the interruption, allowing the Dream to close out their blowout win.
